Chapter Five

Közi looked at his old lover in horror. “Get out.” He spat mad.

“Yeah, in a minute. I just want to talk to you first.” Keisuke agreed.

“I don’t want to talk to you. Get out!” Közi snarled. He was on the verge of calling for help.

“I’m sorry.” Keisuke said causing Közi to go quiet. “For the way I treated you. I’m sorry.”

“Sure you are.” Közi replied disbelieving. Keisuke was just trying to manipulate him. He didn’t mean it. Sure Keisuke looked like he meant it but that didn’t mean he actually did.

“I am.” Keisuke relied. “I’ve been trying to find you for years. It wasn’t until recently that I saw you’re picture in a paper. Imagine my surprise to find you standing there with my brother.”

“You saw my picture and thought ‘I’ll go play with my little toy again’. I know you. You’re not sorry. You just want to play your little games. While I’m not buying it.” Közi said with a glare.

“I don’t see you as a toy.” Keisuke said. Közi was annoyed at the small part of him that believed Keisuke.

“Sure you do.” Közi snapped. “Now get out. I don’t want you here.”

“I brought you a present.” Keisuke said pulling an object out of his pocket. It was wrapped up and Közi couldn’t see what it was. He refused to take it, so Keisuke stuffed it into his hand. Közi just threw it back at him and it landed by the door.

“What no thank you?” Keisuke asked mockingly. “That’s ok. I know you’re still mad at me.”

“Off course I’m mad at you.” Közi snapped. “How do you expect me to forgive the things you did to me?”

“Oh it wasn’t all bad.” Keisuke laughed. “Remember the fun we had? How I loved you? How I cared for you? The feeling of my lips pressed against yours…” Közi felt a stab of nostalgia. Keisuke was right. It had been amazing before. His mind flittered to the fun times. But then he remembered what had happened next and any nostalgia he had vanished.

“It may have been good once. However what happened next was deliberately cruel.” Közi responded with a voice of hard steel.

“I wasn’t that bad?” Keisuke replied.

“You told your friends that I was great in bed and then asked if they would like a turn.” Közi spat. “You…”

“But you are.” Keisuke interrupted. “You’re amazing. So passionate, so fun. I felt guilty keeping you all to myself.” Közi glared.

“I think you should get out now.” He said. He’d reached his limit. He wanted Keisuke out. Now, if not sooner.

“Yeah, maybe I should go. But first something to remember me by.” Keisuke laughed. Before Közi could even think he felt Keisuke’s lips pressed against his. He tried to escape but Keisuke had him in a firm grasp. Keisuke’s kiss was strong and passionate. Despite himself Közi felt old habits kick in, and he was kissing Keisuke back.

“See, you still have feelings for me.” Keisuke laughed as he left Közi’s room. Közi sat back on his bed in shock. He was appalled at himself for letting Keisuke kiss him like that. For kissing back. For the part of him that had wanted to believe him. The part of him that had wanted to feel loved and appreciated. He sat there for awhile before noticing Keisuke’s present was still there. He picked it up and threw it away. Whatever it was, he didn’t want it.

“Közi?” Mana asked a little later. Közi was still on the bed sulking. “Was someone in here?”

“Yeah. Keisuke.” Közi replied. Mana understood. Közi had told him all about Keisuke.

“Did he try anything?” Mana asked worried.

“He apologised.” Közi replied still in disbelief.

“Well I hope you didn’t believe him.” Mana said offering a comforting arm around Közi’s shoulders. Közi accepted it. Mana had never done anything to him that even competed with the cruelty of Keisuke’s actions.

“Off course not.” Közi said. “I never believe a word that comes out of his mouth.”

“Good.” Mana replied. Holding Közi close. “Do you believe my apologies?” he asked after awhile.

“Yes.” Közi replied. “You need to apologise to Gackt too you know.”

“I don’t want too.” Mana sulked. Közi let it go. He needed Mana’s attention right now, he didn’t want to lose it.

“He kissed me too.” Közi said looking up. “I kissed him back. Why did I do that? I hate him.”

“Because I haven’t been giving you the attention you deserve.” Mana replied. “I’ve been selfish and mean.” Mana suddenly he realised that it was Közi he now wanted. The moment someone had tried to take him off him, he wanted him again. Mana was fickle like that. Wanting what he couldn’t have. Only wanting what he did have when someone tried to take it away.

“Mana hold me.” Közi requested. He needed Mana’s love. No matter how fake it was. Mana nodded and embraced Közi. After awhile the hug became a kiss. Long and sweet. Közi needed it so bad. He wrapped Mana tight against him. He’d forgiven Mana now. It was Gackt Mana had used. Not him. Mana was usually nice to him. They pulled apart.  Both knowing that this shouldn’t go any further.

“Do you want me to stay here?” Mana asked Közi. Közi nodded. Közi fell asleep that night in Mana’s arms. Mana made him feel safe. Mana helped him forget Keisuke. Mana who smelt so nice from his shower…

Kami woke up alone in bed. It was the day after the live. Gackt was obviously already up. Kami wasn’t worried. Gackt often got up before him. Kami smiled as he picked up a long black piece of hair from Gackt’s pillow. It had obviously fallen out during the night as hair does sometimes. He held it in his hands. He had a piece of Gackt with him and it made him happy for about a minute. Then he realised it was just a piece of hair. He dragged himself out of bed and went looking for Gackt. Gackt was in the kitchen reading a newspaper. Kami smiled as Gackt looked up.

“Keisuke’s already gone.” Gackt informed Kami with a smile. “Something about finding a way to prove his love or something. Anyway it got me thinking. I’m going to prove my love for you.”

“Like you don’t already?” Kami asked pleased. He loved it when Gackt decided to be romantic.

“I’m going to share one of my hobbies with you.” Gackt grinned.

“That proves your love?” Kami asked, not following Gackt’s logic.

“Yeah. Sharing something I love with you, can only bring us closer together.” Gackt explained. Kami nodded as he sort of understood.

“So what are we doing?” Kami asked.

“Well first you’re going to kiss me. That’s one of hobbies you know. You kissing me. Then the rest is a surprise.” Gackt said, completely serious.

“Well if it’s one of your hobbies.” Kami laughed giving Gackt a quick kiss. “Come on tell me what happens next.”

“I told you it was a surprise.” Gackt replied looking smug. “But I think maybe me kissing you come next. That’s another of my hobbies.”

“Do you have any other hobbies that involve me and you?” Kami laughed as Gackt got up to kiss him.

“Sure, I just like these things best.” Gackt said before kissing Kami.

“Still you can have too much of a good thing.” Kami laughed as he pulled away.

            “One more?” Gackt asked.

            “No more.” Kami answered.

“No, one more.” Gackt mithered. He gave Kami his best ‘puppy dog eyes’ look.

“No, you’ll get spoilt.” Kami laughed.

“I always get my own way. One more.” Gackt sulked.

“Last one.” Kami agreed kissing Gackt. He tried to pull away several times before Gackt finally let him.

“Ok, maybe you should get ready now.” Gackt agreed noticing the time.

            “For?” Kami pried.

“For my secret outing.” Gackt laughed. Kami tried several times to find out what was going on as he got ready. Gackt wouldn’t tell him. He liked keeping this secret.

“I don’t know how to ride a horse.” Kami worried as he got out of the car. Gackt had taken him to a horse stables.

“It’s ok, I’ll teach you.” Gackt laughed. Kami was so cute when worried.

“But there so big…” Kami worried.

“It’s ok. They won’t hurt you.” Gackt laughed. Kami watched as Gackt tacked up a horse. The horse was a bay stallion. (Bay is brown with a black main and tail.) The horse actually belonged to Gackt, though Gackt had to pay a friend to look after him now he was so busy with Malice Mizer.

“His name is horse.” Gackt joked. Kami laughed.

“What is he really called?” Kami asked.

“Male Horse?” Gackt replied with a smile.

            “Gackt, tell me.” Kami wringed.

“Blade. Like the vampire.” Gackt admitted. Kami wasn’t sure if he should like or make fun of the name so stayed silent.

“Really?” he asked. Not sure if Gackt was messing with him.

“Yes really.” Gackt laughed. “Well are you going to say hello?” he asked. He had led the horse out of the stable.

“Hello.” Kami said to the horse from his safe position about a metre away.

“No come stroke him.” Gackt laughed.

“Can’t I just stroke you?” Kami asked. He was worried that the horse was going to hurt him.

“Later.” Gackt replied. “Stroke the horse. He won’t bite.”

“What if he kicks?” Kami worried.

“Well stand here.” Gackt said pointing to the space by the side of the horse’s front left leg. “Horses can only kick sideways with there back legs. You’re safe here.” Kami nodded and walked over to the spot. He started to gently stroke the horse. The horse just looked at him. Kami smiled. The horse wasn’t attacking him like he had feared.

“You’re my friend right?” Kami asked the horse. Gackt made the horse nod it’s head and Kami laughed. Gackt helped Kami onto the horse and led the horse down a path. Kami found that he was actually enjoying this. It wasn’t scary anymore. He’d been worried for nothing. He sat there on the horse, with Gackt walking besides him and they talked and joked. After awhile Gackt let the horse go causing Kami to worry again. But the horse carried on walking by Gackt’s side so he relaxed. Eventually Gackt took hold of the horses bridle again.

“You’re going faster now.” Gackt said with an evil smile.

“Gackt no!” Kami cried as Gackt broke into a jog, the horse matched his speed in a trot. Kami was soon laughing as he realised that this was fun. They reached the stables again and Kami grinned.

“That was great.” Kami grinned happily.

“See you shouldn’t be scared to try something new.” Gackt said, breathing faster than normal because he’d been running. Kami grinned happily.

“Well if your there, anything is great.” Kami replied.

“True.” Gackt laughed as he began to undo the horses saddle.
