Gackt gently pried out the last piece of glass from Kami’s face and wiped the blood away with some cloth from Kami’s ruined shirt and the water Hyde had brought. Hyde and Miyavi had gone to pack there things. The plan was to leave as soon as Kami was ready. They weren’t safe here.

“Let me find you some clothes.” Gackt said getting up. Normally the sight of Kami naked turned him on, but not now. Kami was obviously in pain and all Gackt felt when he looked at him was pity and anger at both Phil and Kage. After all Phil was Kage’s friend.

“I wanted to borrow your shirt.” Kami said carefully, it hurt to speak.

“Off course which one?” Gackt asked. Kami pointed and Gackt smiled. “Father, Yoshiki not Kage, gave me that for my last birthday.” Gackt said. “It’s one of my favourites.”

“You don’t have to lend it me if you don’t want too.” Kami said.

“Nothing is more precious to me than you Kami.” Gackt replied as he got the shirt out of the wardrobe. “I don’t mind you wearing my clothes, though I do hope it doesn’t end up the same way as your shirt.”

“I love you.” Kami whispered as Gackt helped him into the shirt.

“I know. I love you too.” Gackt replied as he searched through his and Kami’s clothes looking for some trousers with a loose waist band so as not to press onto Kami’s cuts and hurt him more. Gackt flicked through the clothes and cursed his love for tight clothes. He eventually found a pair of Kami’s trousers that looked comfortable enough and helped Kami up and into them. Underwear would have been too much effort considering Kami’s condition.

“Here, lie on the bed.” Gackt said. “I’ll pack our things.”

“You’re actually going to do something?” Kami asked surprised.

“Only for you.” Gackt said with a small smile. “Don’t tell anyone. I have a reputation to keep.” Kami winced in pain as he slowly walked to the bed and lied down.

“No one would believe me even if I did tell them.” Kami replied.

“What?” Gackt asked. His concern for Kami had made him lose track of the flow of conversation. Kami didn’t get a chance to answer as there was a knock on the door that Gackt had locked behind Hyde and Miyavi. Gackt gave Kami a look and went to answer it.

“Kage.” Gackt said coldly to his visitor.

“Are you aware your servant attacked my guest?” Kage asked, equally cold.

“Are you aware your guest tried to rape Kami?” Gackt retorted.

“So what if he wanted a little fun.” Kage said.

“Whatever. We’re leaving as soon as we’ve packed. I’m not staying in a house with humans who mess with my property.” Gackt retorted. Hanging onto the act of spoilt arrogant prince.

“What do you mean your leaving?” Kage demanded with a dangerous edge to his voice.

            “I’m going to stay in town.” Gackt replied. “Don’t take it personally, but if you can’t keep your business associates away from my property, then I don’t want to stay here.”

            “Phil will be leaving tomorrow morning.” Kage replied. “I expect you back then.”

            “We will be.” Gackt lied. Surprised Kage had accepted it so easily. Then again he didn’t really care for humans at all. It did make logical sense he wouldn’t really care about Phil. In fact he was properly only here to keep his business connection with Phil. Making a show of being annoyed. Yes that made sense.

            Uruha opened the door and smiled when he saw Miyavi. He had been lonely in the house alone. He hadn’t realised just how used he was to Miyavi’s noise until it was gone.

            “Miyavi!” Uruha happily cried wrapping his younger friend in a hug. “Come in.” he added to Gackt, Kami and Hyde.

“What happened to your nose?” Uruha asked Miyavi concerned.

“Long story.” Miyavi explained. “It’s not important.”

“What happened in there?” Uruha asked curious and so they quickly filled him in on what had happened.

“But I need to go back.” Gackt finished. “I haven’t taught Phil a lesson yet.”

“No you don’t. I have a better idea.” Uruha announced. “If he’s leaving tomorrow he’ll be taking some of the kids with him, to sell on as slaves. Why don’t we catch him outside the village? He’d have a lot less protection and we can rescue the kids in the process.”

“An ambush?” Hyde asked. “I like that.”

            “We could even let the others in on it. Get help.” Kami pointed out. “I can’t fight like this.”

            “We can’t fight him too close too the town.” Uruha warned. “We need to be out of sight so help doesn’t arrive.”

            “But how do we know which way he’ll head?” Gackt asked.

            “He’ll follow the main roads south.” Uruha announced. “There are no slaves to the east. And to the west lies sea.”

            “What about north?” Gackt asked.

            “Mountains.” Uruha replied. “It’s unlikely he’ll travel that way.”

            “We’ll have to go soon. Get some distance.” Miyavi replied.

            “Kami better stay here. He can’t walk far.” Uruha kindly replied.

            “No!” Kami cried. “I can’t stay here alone! What if he comes!”

            “Kami comes too.” Gackt replied. “Kami needs his friends by him.”

            “We could rent him a horse. There’s a small stable. There are a few humans living here. The horses are for them.” Miyavi pointed out

            “Kami are you fit to ride?” Gackt asked sympathetically. Kami nodded bravely.

            “Miyavi can you find the others and get them to join us?” Hyde asked and Miyavi agreed.

            “You guys go ahead.” Uruha announced. “I’ll pack and catch up.”

            Miyavi walked at a fast pace to a large open space. It was grass clear off all plants and trees. Dragons were too big to land on the streets so several areas had been reserved in the city to accommodate that need.  A ruby red dragon had landed at the other end and Miyavi waved to him, in case it was someone he knew. Allowing his own change to commence Miyavi became the sapphire blue dragon who’s DNA lived in his blood. The change was quick and didn’t hurt and Miyavi was soon in the air. He flew fast to the original place he had met Gackt. But it was empty. Puzzled he flew around looking for Gackt’s friends. Where were they? He caught a strange smell blowing in from the wind from the west and flew in that direction curious. He discovered that the smell came from a stranger accompanied by Gackt’s friends. He was puzzled. Why were they heading north? Deciding it was properly safe to land in front of them he did just that.

            “Your Miyavi right?” Kyo asked as he recognised the dragon before him.

            “I have a message from your friends.” Miyavi replied and quickly filled them in. His attention on the new creature that accompanied them. What was he?

            Everyone was shocked to here about what had happened to Kami and quickly agreed to help.

            “Where were you going?” Miyavi asked once he was finished.

            “There is a tunnel into your town in this direction.” Klaha admitted. “We needed to get in to get our own message to Gackt.”

            “What are you?” Miyavi asked curious.

            “A child of Byakko.” Klaha answered.

            “I though you were a myth.” Miyavi answered.

            “No. We’re real.” Klaha replied with a smile.

            “I can see that.” Miyavi laughed and changed back.

            “Wait! I have a message for…” Klaha began but Miyavi had already gone.

            “I guess we just meet up with Gackt then.” Közi suggested.

            “Yeah.” Kyo agreed. “Whoever hurt Kami has a lot to answer too.”

            “Poor Kami.” Mana said sadly. “He doesn’t deserve that.”

            “No one does.” Klaha announced as he turned his horse to head towards the location that Gackt was waiting. “But we can help.”

            Gackt, Hyde, Miyavi and Uruha waited hidden in the bushes. It had been decided that Kami would not fight. He was in no fit state. He remained hidden further back with his rented horse. Guarding there stuff.

            “He’s coming.” Gackt whispered as he saw a cart and several armed men heading down the road. Phil was with them.

            “I can’t see anything.” Hyde whispered back.

            “It’s Gackt’s dragon powers.” Miyavi whispered. “Your getting close to being able to change.” He added with a smile.

            “If it gives me the strength to defeat that vile man, then so be it.” Gackt announced with venom.

            “Kage!” Cecil called. “I have something to show you.”

            “Is it important?” Kage asked annoyed, he had been eating breakfast and didn’t want to be disturbed.

            “Oh it’s important.” Cecil replied with a smirk. “Just see for yourself.” Kage got up and entered the room where she had cast the seeing spell. He went quiet as he saw the image in the mirror.

            “That traitor!” Kage cried furious. “I’ll make him pay!”
