In The Light Of The Moon

Chapter 7

            Közi couldn’t stop thinking about Keisuke. ‘What if he is sorry.’ A small voice kept saying in the back off his mind. It denied all logic. Keisuke wasn’t sorry anymore than snow was black. ‘Snow could be black if oil was spilt on it.’ Came the hopeful voice. ‘I’m just being silly.’ Közi thought annoyed. ‘He did love you’ came the voice once again.

            “Keisuke” Közi called as he entered the house he shared with Keisuke. It was 1607 and they were living in Scotland. People often gave them funny looks. It wasn’t normal for two men to share a house when neither was poor. They weren’t brothers. It wasn’t a master and servant relationship. It was two men sharing a house together.

When asked Keisuke would reply. “We’re lovers” causing people to laugh. They assumed he was joking.

Közi was a little more shy he’d reply “We’re just very close.”

“I’m up here.” Keisuke called to Közi from upstairs. Közi grinned and headed up the stairs.

“What are you doing?” Közi asked as he found Keisuke in the bedroom. Why was Keisuke up here at this time?

“Preparing a surprise for you.” Keisuke smiled. Közi looked behind him. On the bed was a box.

“What’s this for?” he asked surprised.

“It’s to show you my love.” Keisuke replied. “Open it.” Közi nodded and opened the box. It contained a ring. A thick silver band with rubies embedded into it. A man’s ring. It was beautiful.

“I don’t understand.” Közi began.

“Silver because you were a silversmith. Rubies because you’re a precious jewel.” Keisuke replied. “I’d like you to wear it on your left ring finger” Közi glanced at his left hand knowing what the ring would mean.

“I love you.” Közi replied as he put on the ring. “Hey you have one too.” He smiled as he noticed Keisuke was wearing a similar ring. His was just pure silver though. Keisuke laughed and kissed Közi in reply. There was no need for words.

‘I wonder if…’ Közi thought as he remembered the gift Keisuke had given him the other day. It was a similar size to that gift all those years before. He pulled the box out of the bin and opened it. Sure enough it was the two rings. Közi stared at them. He’s last seen his ring when he had thrown it in Keisuke’s face. He shoved them in a drawer annoyed. He wasn’t going to wear his. But he couldn’t bear to throw it away again. Now he knew what it was. ‘I can’t believe he still has them.’ Közi though in disbelief. What did this mean? Could it possibly mean Keisuke had never stopped loving him? Or maybe they were fakes. New rings made recently. Közi pondered this all day. He couldn’t think of anything else. If only he knew if they were real or not.

            “Gackt I have something for you.” Kami called happily as he entered the house. It was the day after Gackt had taken him riding. Kami had told Gackt he was visiting Bob to arrange the engagement party. He had lied. He’s been elsewhere.

            “Will I like it?” Gackt asked as he headed down the stairs.

            “I hope so.” Kami laughed.

            “Is it you coming home?” Gackt asked.

            “No.” Kami laughed.

            “Can it be you?” Gackt asked.

            “No.” Kami replied. “Well not at the moment anyway. Wait here.” Gackt did as told and waited for Kami to fetch something from his car. Kami returned with a small brown bundle off fluff. “It’s to show my love for you.”

            “You got me a puppy?” Gackt asked in shock. He looked over at the Puppy. It was so small and cute, he took it from Kami’s arms. He hadn’t thought about owning a pet but who could resist this puppy? It was just so small.

            “Yeah. I know you like animals and I love dogs so I figured if you didn’t like her I could always keep her for myself.” Kami explained. He was relieved to see that Gackt seemed pleased with his new pet.

            “Stop trying to eat my hair.” Gackt laughed as the puppy tried to chew his hair.  “Does she have a name?” he asked Kami.

            “Not yet.” Kami replied.

            “I will call you Belle” Gackt decided happily. Kami wrapped his arm around Gackt’s shoulders. His free hand stroking the little dog. He was so happy that Gackt liked his present.

            “You can have me later.” Kami promised with a grin. Keisuke went out almost every evening. He figured they’d have some time alone.

            “I’d like you to meet some off my friends.” Klaha said to Yu~ki. They had just met up outside a cinema.

            “We’re not watching a film?” Yu~ki asked.

            “I’d rather you met my friends.” Klaha answered.

            “We’ll OK then.” Yu~ki replied. He wasn’t so bothered about the film.

            “You’ll like them. They’re like us.” Klaha explained. “We’re meeting at my house.” Yu~ki nodded. It would be the first time he’d see Klaha’s house. Yu~ki left his car as Klaha had offered him a lift. About ten minutes later they pulled up outside a small house and got out the car. Yu~ki followed Klaha into the house and saw it was incredibaly tidy and clean. He was shown into a room on the left which turned out to be the lounge. Three people were sitting there. Two men and a woman.

            “This is Jin.” Klaha said introducing Yu~ki to a man who has short brown hair in spikes. The man smelt of hawk. “Ryu” Klaha continued pointing to a man with semi long black hair who smelt of bear “and Mei Ling” he finished. Yu~ki smelt wolf on her. She was beautiful Her hair was long and black. From her name Yu~ki could tell she was Chinese.

            “Shifters.” Yu~ki stammered surprised.

            “Yeah I searched hard to bring us together.” Klaha explained. “Our numbers have been seriously depleted thanks to the hunters. We’ve all lost family, friends. However we’re going to change that.”

            “We’re going to destroy The Hunters.” Mei Ling announced proudly. Her voice was accented but perfectly legible.

            “Would you like to join us?” Klaha asked with a gentle smile.

            “Do I have to decide now?” Yu~ki asked in shock. He hadn’t been expecting this.

            “No. Get to know us first.” Klaha said. “Spend the day with us. Decide after you’ve slept on it.” Yu~ki nodded. It was a big decision he needed time.

            Jin was from Kyoto. He was the son of a rich business man who had run away from home the day he discovered his father was a traitor. Giving information to The Hunters just to protect himself and his son. He’d even sold out Jin’s mother to them to prove his loyalty. Jin had been disgusted with his father and given up his easy life. Klaha had found him a year ago while he was working as a bar tender in Osaka.

            Ryu had no idea where he was from. He’d been kidnapped by The Hunters when he was too young to remember. They had kept him because they enjoyed the taste of his blood. Klaha had found and rescued him. Ryu had gladly joined his cause. He’d been with Klaha for two years now.

            Mei Ling came from a small village in Hong Kong. She was a doctor’s daughter living with just her mother. Her father had died at the hands of The Hunters while her mother was still pregnant with her. Her mother had run before they even knew of her existence and raised her daughter in the country. Mei Ling had joined Klaha when he found her. She had been a student at Tokyo University. She was bright and happy and had joined Klaha’s cause in honour of her father, who had been a good man.

            Yu~ki found he got on well with Klaha’s friends. They were like him. Ryu was a bit withdrawn but who could blame him? Mei Ling was bright and friendly and Yu~ki couldn’t help but instantly like her.

When he returned home he had a lot to think about. What Klaha was doing was dangerous. He had lost team mates before. However it was a worthy cause. Közi was quiet too. Deep in thought too. Mana looked between the two men as they ate there dinner. Both in worlds of there own. He shrugged and remained quiet himself. He had thinks to think off too. Like revenge.

In one magazine interview Gackt says something about wishing people would stop giving him pets as presents. That’s where the puppy idea came from. XD

The story is finally moving on. XD With OC’s! OMG! Jin is a rewritten version of Jin Kazama from Tekken. I love Jin XD. He has big black wings. But I’ve changed the circumstances. Ryu and Mei Ling are completely unique though. No thieving there. I’m struggling to keep three plots on the go at once already and now Mana is getting one too. Oh well XD should stop writers block. (Yu~ki, Közi and Gackt X Kami are the three plots.)

In 15 minutes i have to go to hell. Unfortunatly Mana isn't there. It would be a lot more interesting if he was XD.
